(March 3, 2024, Long Beach) COSCO SHIPPING (North America) hosted its annual partner appreciation reception in Long Beach, California. The event took place the night before the official start of the Transpacific Maritime Conference (TPM), the largest industry conference for Transpacific trade. The TPM 2024 attracted close to 4,000 participants from the international transportation and logistics industries to Long Beach.
Mr. Griff Lynch, President and CEO of the Georgia Ports Authority (GPA), delivered a keynote speech. Mr. Lynch expressed GPA’s enthusiasm for continuing its collaboration with COSCO SHIPPING (North America) and its support in the years to come. “We thank our partners at COSCO SHIPPING for entrusting the Georgia Ports with their business and look forward to growing together,” Mr. Lynch stated.
Peter Tirschwell, Vice President of the Journal of Commerce by S&P Global, also joined us and stated, “We at the Journal of Commerce and TPM greatly value our long-standing relationship with COSCO SHIPPING, which spans many decades, and appreciate its loyal support of TPM.”
Mr. Chase Zhang, President of COSCO SHIPPING (North America), also delivered welcome remarks at the event. Mr. Zhang highlighted the company aims to make the necessary improvements and advancements to its service offerings to meet the perpetual changing needs of the dynamic industry. “Whether COSCO SHIPPING is supporting your logistics business requirements via our Liner, Terminal, Warehousing, Trucking, Brokerage, NVOCC or Equipment Leasing Divisions, we are ready to provide the most advanced and revolutionary shipping management system available in our market,” Mr. Zhang remarked. “we also remain on the forefront of environmental sustainability initiatives”. Mr. Zhang added.
During the event, COSCO SHIPPING (North America) presented the “2023 Best Partner” awards to four organizations for their exceptional support throughout the year, including Georgia Ports Authority, CN Railway, IMC Logistics, and Bank of China USA. CN Railway expressed gratitude in its recognition: “We truly value the long-standing collaboration and friendship we have had and look forward to achieving great success together!”
