IT Networking and Security Specialist (Bilingual: English/Mandarin) – Secaucus, NJ

COSCO SHIPPING Lines (North America) Inc. is seeking an experienced bilingual (English/Mandarin) IT Networking and Security Specialist to join the IT team in the Secaucus, NJ headquarters office. The successful candidate will work part as part of the IT team to manage network operations and security compliance to protect the information assets and systems of the organization, by monitoring for, preventing, and responding to cyber-security threats.

Specific responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Network equipment configuration and deployment
  • Security monitoring and incident identification
  • Incident response and resolution
  • Improving enterprise-wide security log collection, correlation, and reporting
  • Work with the security team to automate and process operations
  • Manage and monitor intrusion detection and prevention systems
  • Implement and update security controls
  • Remain current on emerging threats and mitigation strategies
  • Documentation of procedures, process standards, and guidelines
  • Assist with the development of security awareness programs
  • Assist with producing reports to communicate security risks and status to cyber-security teams
  • Assist with network asset management
  • Assist with maintaining network configuration library
  • Assist with the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the network infrastructure

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Required): Concentration in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate Certification (Required) or to substitute certification, a minimum of 3 years related work experience on Cisco network deployment
  • English / Chinese Mandarin (Required): Must be able to speak, read, and write, with proven mastery in both languages
  • Must be highly skilled and proficient on Cisco network routing troubleshooting
  • Preferred experience on Cisco VoIP/Palo Alto FW

Claims Coordinator – Secaucus, NJ

COSCO SHIPPING Lines (North America) Inc. is seeking a Claims Coordinator to work in its Secaucus, NJ headquarters office. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for overseeing and monitoring cargo claims filed against the company and will report to the Claims Manager. The position is also responsible for accepting, reviewing, and concluding claims and maintaining proper records.

Specific responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Local point of contact for cargo claims filed in the U.S. and Canada
  • Review claim submissions and determine carrier’s liability, if any
  • Conclude claims pursuant to the contract of carriage, service contract, applicable tariff and statute under supervision of management
  • Monitor payment of claims or declinations and sends customer reimbursement after ijos completion
  • Interact with all local offices to help facilitate investigations, sending surveyors out for inspection of damaged goods, and gather all facts related to each claim and assist with cargo disposal when a shipment is abandoned
  • Correspond with the P&I Club, COSCO SHIPPING Lines headquarters, customer, and law firms appointed by the P&I Club to facilitate claims and law suits
  • Maintain a monthly claim report for review by management
  • Identify areas that need improvement in the claims process and make recommendations on claims handling
  • Review new service contract clauses related to claim management, handling, and liability limits
  • Assist other department members and perform other duties as requested by management

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Required): Preferred concentration in the maritime, logistics, and/or supply chain fields
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Effective organization and time management skills
  • Strong knowledge in use of Microsoft Office (including Excel)

Intermodal and Cost Control Coordinator – Secaucus, NJ

COSCO SHIPPING Lines (North America) Inc. is seeking an Intermodal and Cost Control Coordinator to work in its Secaucus, NJ headquarters office. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for administering vendor contracts, generating reports and other key administrative processes of vendor management with focus on marine, terminal, rail, and intermodal agreements.

Specific responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Support procurement and cost control department in vendor selection process and develop supporting documents for RFPs
  • Assist in contract management and vendor negotiations with various port and inland service providers
  • Support in analyzing procurement and vendor data, producing KPIs and providing detailed reports to management
  • Participate in vendor meetings upon request
  • Develop cost savings initiatives, identify cost reduction opportunities, and recommend to management supplier/vendor strategies for existing suppliers and potential alternatives
  • Input rates into IRIS system and monitor fluctuations in vendor costs
  • Assist other department members and perform other duties as requested by management

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
  • One year of relevant experience is preferred

Tariff and Service Contract Specialist – Secaucus, NJ

COSCO SHIPPING Lines (North America) Inc. is seeking a Tariff and Service Contract Specialist to work in its Secaucus, NJ headquarters office.

Specific responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist Management to meet sales budget goals on revenue
  • Complete U.S. export & Import tariff filing request and meet federal requirements
  • Update internal system
  • Answer questions from management, and internal departments about federal tariff & service contract issues
  • Analyze competitive factors, and make recommendations on pricing to increase revenue
  • Communicate with partners when required via phone or email
  • Update files on SharePoint site
  • Work closely with internal audit teams, allocation teams, and sales teams
  • Work closely with principle and global offices to support sales on U.S. export
  • Establish, implement and enforce operational, and customer service related business process to optimize product performance, and identify potential opportunities in cost
  • Create and coordinate standard processes and procedures for service contract administration

Experience:

  • Five years of logistics related experience is preferred
  • Strong in PowerPoint presentations
  • Intermediate Excel user (pivot tables, V-lookup, filters)

Export Traffic Coordinator – Houston, TX

COSCO SHIPPING Lines (North America) Inc. is seeking an Export Traffic Coordinator to join the Export team in their Houston, TX operations office. A successful candidate will have a good overall understanding of the logistics involved in moving containerized cargo from the United States to destinations throughout the world.

Specific responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Submit required documents to terminals: CBF, Load List, Haz Manifest, Tank Certs, etc.
  • Daily TEU Reports
  • Contact customers to confirm cargo in order to fully utilize space on vessel
  • Reconcile vessels daily in order to find any discrepancy between Cosco system and terminal system
  • Monitor and maintain all vessel cut off dates
  • Shipment tracking and tracing
  • Advise shippers of any delays
  • Ensure all documentation is received for required commodities – Gas/Battery Statement, Auto Titles, Haz Decs, EEI’s, VGM’s, Tank Certs, Surveys, MSDS, IMO’s, etc.
  • 3PI invoicing
  • Scan documents to internal Cosco file
  • Department back up as necessary

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience

  • Experience working with vessel coordination and customer service

Import Documentation Coordinator – Houston, TX

COSCO SHIPPING Lines (North America) Inc. is seeking an Import Documentation Coordinator to join the Import team in their Houston, TX operations office.  A successful candidate will have a good overall understanding of the logistics involved in moving containerized cargo to the United States from origins throughout the world and the required necessary documentation associated with it.

Specific responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Complete vessel process
  • FCN’s, Diversions and Piece Count Discrepancies
  • Create third party invoices for services performed on customer’s behalf
  • Monitor and Maintain VIP Accounts
  • Handle email and fax correspondence with internal and external customers
  • Maintain and monitor customs related issues
  • Ensure EDI is transmitted to the terminal and proper releases are in place
  • Monitor and reconcile discharge reports against import loads
  • Monitor overdue containers and send notices to our customers
  • Notify customers of required exams
  • Liaise between the terminals and our internal and external customers
  • Add route segment for containers moving to an off dock facility for exam
  • Monitor IPI rail cargo to ensure timely movement inland

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience

Equipment Control Coordinator – Houston, TX

COSCO SHIPPING Lines (North America) Inc. is seeking anEquipment Control Coordinatorto join the Equipment team in their Houston, TX operations office. A successful candidate will have a good overall understanding of the logistics involved in moving containerized cargo.

  • Dispatches empty equipment to rail or terminals
  • On-hires shipper own containers and tanks
  • Works with other departments to problem solve
  • Performs other duties as necessary
