COSCO SHIPPING (North America) proudly announces the launch of its expanded cross-border transportation services between the United States and Mexico, initiated in May 2024. This strategic expansion aims to address the growing logistics needs of cross-border e-commerce and manufacturing customers.

As part of this initiative, COSCO SHIPPING (North America)’s trucking subsidiary, IBT, has deployed a fleet of state-of-the-art 53-foot trailers in Laredo, Texas. The newly introduced 53-foot trailers by COSCO SHIPPING (North America) are engineered specifically for cross-border operations. These trailers offer enhanced loading capacity and superior transportation efficiency, making them ideal for the demands of cross-border shipping. Each trailer features an innovative "air cushion" design to protect cargo from damage and is equipped with an advanced global positioning system (GPS) to ensure precise tracking and safety. Leveraging IBT's network, the new U.S.-Mexico cross-border service can reach the main Mexican factory cities and deliver throughout the US and Canada.

Looking ahead, IBT plans to gradually expand its trailer fleet and continuously enhance its cross-border transportation offerings to provide robust support for cross-border e-commerce and manufacturing industries.
